Sometimes, I imagine that our names are here to help us learn and teach others. We don't think enough about the spell or magick of what we are called each day from the moment we take our first breath.
What does your name mean?
Take a moment to consider the energy that is held in that one word.
I'll go first. My name, Amanda, means worthy of love. So many of my life's lessons have been centered around not just honoring my own worth but trying to teach other people to have faith in their own. Of course, life will always add seasoning and reasoning to how we are feeling- I am not saying that your name will solely create your mindset and heart space.
Years ago, when I first had this thought, I was primarily focused on what it meant for me and my growth in this life. To be fair to my little spiritual self, we all begin our "awakening" (I despise this word) looking so inward we tend to trip over our feet. Now, as I have worked to know I am worthy of love and that which I value, I am focused more on sharing the lesson with others. I want everyone to see how they shine their own beautiful light out to the world--and that they too are worthy of love.
When you look up your own name, focus on the meaning in a bigger picture. What are you being asked to learn from your name? How can you then share that to help others? Maybe the meaning of your name is your greatest gift, or maybe it is the toxic nature you have to fight against.
This is not something that I have studied, only pondered. I am in no way an etymologist or name expert. I think we have many arrows that point us to the biggest gifts we can offer others while we are on this ride of life. I just happen to nerd out over any exercise that has us digging deeper in order to find ourselves more. If you are similar, I hope you enjoy the rabbit hole of what your name means for your life's journey.
